Hi my name is Sarah Oliver and i have been dancing for just over 30 years. My first training as a child at Rainbow Dance Studios in Lytham St Annes, going on to college at Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre in Liverpool when I was 18.
At college I took many examinations in a variety of dance styles including ballet, tap, modern to disco, national, latin and ballroom. I gained my teachers qualification in RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern and Tap, then graduated with a Diploma in Dance. During my time at college I taught at the weekends at Rainbow, putting children in for exams and getting them ready for shows.
Since graduating I have travelled, performing all over the world from Disneyland Paris, Lapland, Portugal to Turkey and Cyprus. In Turkey I performed in a hip hop/street dance show across many different hotels. Between performing I have managed to keep teaching for JC Dance, YMCA and at Corelli School of the Arts in New Zealand for a year in 2011.
Since returning to England I have qualified as a nursery nurse and worked at two nurseries within Lytham St Annes before going on maternity leave in 2015. Shortly after returning as a nursery nurse, I began teaching both children and adults at JC dance. Alongside this I now teach a variety of different dance styles at One Fylde for special needs adults.
