Many of you will be entrusting your children to my care and possibly you would like to know a little about me, and the school.
I trained initially at my local dancing school in Aldridge, Staffordshire. Then completed my training at stage school. I eventually embarked on a professional career with a Ballet Company, in Belgium. After spending a year travelling with the company I branched out into musical theatre, working with many famous people like Jimmy Tarbuck, Lional Blair, Russ Abbott & Dionne Warwick, and travelling extensively around the world. It was during this time I met my husband Ron who was also in show business, after working together for a short while, we eventually settled in Dorset. We have two grown boys Scott and Adam and a beautiful 3 year old grandson.
Thirty years ago I opened my own school and now have several branches in East Dorset and Poole. I am proud to say the school has gone from strength to strength.
Teaching methods and attitudes have changed immeasurably since I completed my training so I recently re-sat all my teaching exams to bring me completely up to date. 1n 2012 /2013 I attended Chichester University to update me on child psychology, anatomy and teaching methodology, also child psychology at the Royal Ballet School, Covent Garden. I am proud to be a mentor for young trainee teachers for the Royal Academy of Dance.
I have two other teachers Leanne Dade, and Dani Tomblin both former pupils of Footlight Performance Academy both specialist in their genre alongside and Clare Nicholas our Tap specialist Jo Michaels, singing coach.
We have several pupils successfully audition and accepted with the Royal Ballet School. I have a further 6 pupils accepted as Royal Ballet junior associates. Many of our students go on to study at the top theatre colleges - Laine performing arts, Performers College, Bird College, and Arts Educational college, to name a few.

I am so excited to introduce a new Genre to our school ‘LilBeatz’ urban street dance for children. New styles and new classes always excite me. There is never a better time to keep kids healthy and active.
The warm, positive teaching environment within our classes aims to inspire enjoyment as well as fulfilment to our students. They will achieve a great deal, whether it be deportment, co-ordination, or confidence. The emphasis for the younger pupil is enjoyment, if they are interested in aiming further that is a bonus. I’m sure your child will enjoy their time with us.
